The Power of Authority: Walking in Dominion and Unshakable Truth

When I first shared this message, I realized something important.
Not everyone reads spiritual experiences with understanding. Some read through fear. Some through assumption. Others form conclusions without asking questions.
That is the nature of sharing something personal and spiritual in a public space.
So let me say this clearly:
This is not written to create fear.
This is written to share truth as I have experienced it.
If something here challenges you, take your time with it. If something confuses you, seek understanding before forming judgment. Truth invites inquiry.
Understanding Spiritual Experiences
The experience I am about to share was not about something being wrong with me.
It was instruction.
There are seasons, especially during prayer and fasting, where insight becomes sharper. For me, dreams have sometimes functioned as a way to process and understand deeper truths.
Not everyone will interpret these things the same way. That is okay.
But fear is not the right response to something you do not yet understand.
Dreams as Teaching: Symbolic and Purposeful
Throughout Scripture, God uses dreams to communicate, instruct, and reveal truth.
In the book of Joel, it says:
"Your sons and daughters will prophesy, your old men will dream dreams, your young men will see visions." (Joel 2:28)
And this is reaffirmed in Acts:
"In the last days, God says, I will pour out my Spirit on all people…" (Acts 2:17)
Dreams, when they are from God, are not random.
They are often symbolic.
They are often metaphorical.
And they are intended to teach.
They are not always meant to be interpreted at face value.
A dream may use imagery, emotion, or exaggerated scenarios to reveal something deeper about truth, authority, fear, or alignment. Without understanding this, it becomes easy to misinterpret what is being shown.
What matters is not reacting to the surface of the dream, but discerning the message within it.
For me, this dream was not about literal fear or accusation.
It was a lesson.
It was instruction.
It revealed how authority operates when it is rooted in truth instead of emotion.
Authority Changes Everything
"All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me."
Matthew 28:18
Many people struggle because they do not understand authority.
They strive. They plead. They react emotionally.
But authority does not operate like that.
Authority is steady.
It is not frantic.
It does not need to prove itself.
It simply stands.
And when you understand your position, everything shifts.
The Dream That Taught Me Authority
In 2024, during a 15-day fast, I experienced a level of clarity I had never known before. Fear quieted. Truth became steady.
During that time, I also witnessed an answered prayer that strengthened my faith deeply. After praying for a baby who had been reported unresponsive, I later heard that the child was alive and born safely that same day.
But the most personal lesson came through a dream.
A Calm Command
In the dream, I became aware of myself lying in bed, hearing a low growling sound. I quickly realized it was coming from me.
My husband was there, calm and steady, holding me in place. There was no fear in him. No urgency. Just composure.
I understood what was happening in the dream, and instead of panicking, I remained aware.
At one point, I said, "Cast it out." This was me actively participating in the moment. Without consent, we cross into overriding another person’s free will.
His response was simple:
"Leave now."
No shouting.
No struggle.
No spectacle.
And it was gone.
The Moment in the Mirror
Afterward, I walked into the bathroom and looked at myself in the mirror.
For a brief moment, my eyes appeared completely black. Not just dilated, but even the whites had turned black.
Fear tried to rise, but instead of giving into it, I centered myself and turned my attention back to Jesus.
Instantly, everything shifted.
My eyes returned to normal, and what followed was not fear. It was release.
What This Revealed to Me
This experience left me with a clear understanding:
Authority is not a feeling. It is a position.
My husband did not react emotionally.
He did not engage in struggle.
He did not need to understand every detail.
He simply stood in authority.
And that was enough.
Walking in Authority
1. Authority does not strive
It does not come from intensity or performance.
It comes from knowing who you are and standing in that truth.
2. Fear distorts your response
Fear does not bring clarity. It pulls you out of alignment.
When you return to truth, your perspective resets quickly.
3. Alignment continues after breakthrough
After everything, there was still something simple waiting for me to do. Take care of the ice cream bowl.
It was such a small, ordinary task, but that was the point.
The moment reminded me that even after something intense or spiritual, life continues. You still return to responsibility, to order, and to what is in front of you.
Breakthrough does not remove responsibility. It brings you back to it with greater clarity.
Authority Has Already Been Given
"Behold, I have given you authority..."
Luke 10:19
"God raised us up with Christ..."
Ephesians 2:6
Authority is not something you earn.
It is something you step into through understanding.
You do not need to be domineering to stand in truth.
You do not need to react to prove anything.
You do not need fear to stay aware.
You need alignment.
Final Thoughts
This is not about dramatic moments or spiritual performance.
It is about steadiness.
Clarity.
Position.
When you understand where you stand, you stop striving for authority.
You begin walking in it.
And when you do, everything else responds accordingly.
